A business briefing morning was held at The Hilton Patio Hotel in Aberdeen on 26th November.  

Delegates watched a demonstration of Sage Oilfield Services software, including topics such as Equipment Rental & Tracking; Personnel Hire & Human Resources; Project/Job Management; Equipment Maintenance; CRM; and International Deployment Reporting, and international deployment. Sage Construction customers in the oilfield services industry were discussed, such as Aquatic Engineering and Construction Ltd (an Acteon company), iicorr, UWG Engineering, Seatronics, Claxton Engineering, IMS, Enermech, Oceanteam and Trident Offshore, all of whom have successfully moved from other software products having seen the benefits and return on investment that Sage Oilfield Services software can bring.

The briefing detailed how handheld computers and RFID/barcodes have been applied to the oil and gas industry to deliver business benefits by improving the quality of data captured and the accuracy of equipment identification.

A presentation from Organice showed how their Project Document Management solution, based on Microsoft SharePoint, allows employees to work in a disciplined process, with the comfort of a totally integrated environment. This software offers a high return on investment due to higher quality, stricter compliancy and increased efficiency in your project documentation and collaboration.

Microsoft was also present on the day and talked about using Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV software to enhance oilfield services businesses, with particular emphasis on cash-flow, tax/VAT and the faster return on investment benefits when using a financing option.
